Jan Josef Horemans born in Antwerp in 1714, was a pupil of his father by the same name. He initially worked in the manner of his father as a history painter, executing also portraits and genre scenes. In 1767 he became a master in Antwerp and in 1768 a member of the Guild of Antwerp. He died in his native city in 1790. | |
